Of course, the Chanic group has experienced varying fortunes related to those of the Democratic Republic of the Congo where the company is welcomed.
Chanic has participated in its development and has followed its decline. More than six successive generations of Congolese and Europeans have followed one another on this industrial site which reached its zenith between the 1950s and 1970s with more than 3,500 Congolese employees and 290 Europeans.
In recent years, a new wind brought reason for hope to the Congolese people and its business ventures.
It is this motivation for hope that our group has chosen to focus on in an environment which remains at times difficult, rather than to yield to defeatism.
Our teams are stimulated by these difficulties and our group aims to uphold international standards of ethics, quality of management and production.
If we all strive for the development of our company, it is firstly for members of our staff, for their dignity, for the guarantee of providing them with a reasonable salary in the formal sector as well as the best possible medical care for both them and their families.
