
Shipyard
The shipyard of the Kinshasa CHANIC group is one of the last active naval construction sites in Central Africa. Its Bureau d’etudes has unrivalled technical facilities to ensure the production and commissioning of new and proven fluvial craft and modification, maintenance and repairs of older vessels.
In an area of eleven hectares, the shipyard has a slipway with dry dock facilities for vessels up to 70 meters in length and 250 tonnes in weight.

The Division CHANimetal has more than 300 employees of whom more than 200 work in the shipyard. The personnel is both well qualified and experienced: engineers and project designers from our bureau d’etudes are able to design all types
of vessels with computerised assistance.

Licensed welders, operators using numerical plasma cutting tools, x-ray verification of the welding etc … enable us to construct vessels classified by BUREAU VERITAS.

Gas production factory comprising:
- Oxygen production unit (Maximum production 150 bottles of 6 cubic meters per day ) capable of producing also gasified and liquified nitrogen.
- Acetylene production unit (200kg per day ).
